FAQ

ImageI am Alex Green. I was born in San Diego where I have lived my whole life, rarely venturing outside the safe confines of Southern California. Growing up, my parents tried to persuade me that the funny man running in slow motion on the television wasn't worth watching, but I knew better.  I knew much, much better.

A lifelong fan of The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman, I hadn't been an adult for very long (some would say I'm still not) when I started making several trips a month up to Los Angeles to attend toy and collectibles shows in order to amass a huge collection of Bionic memorabilia. A vast collection that I no longer possess due to an accident involving a pencil, a rabid weasel and a rapidly descending elevator (Actually, the advent of eBay in the late 90's took the thrill of the hunt out of it for me, so I gave it up).

Currently working out of my modest two-bedroom apartment (or twelve-bedroom mansion as I refer to it when describing my digs to people who’ve never visited me at home), I am a free-lance web designer and the webmaster of The Six Million Dollar Blog. The newest Bionic site on the web except for all the others that have come after.

I hope one day to meet my hero, Lee Majors, in person and my biggest regret in life is that I no longer fit into my Six Million Dollar Man jammies.

Not anymore, I'm afraid. I was an obsessive collector many years ago (video here), but the advent of eBay and the internet in general pretty much took the thrill of the hunt out of it for me. I've since sold most of what I collected over the years, but I still keep some items.

Perhaps you didn't fully read the answer to the previous question. I pretty much sold what I had collected over the years. Check eBay if you need stuff, if it ain't on eBay, it ain't anywhere.

For fun, for adventure, for fans like myself. I have a tremendous amount of bionic energy stored up since I stopped collecting the memorabliia. Between this and guest-hosting the occasional episode of Cyborgs - A Bionic Podcast, I am able to release that energy.

Because I'm slow.  Actually, the pulls on my time are numerous and frankly, this stuff ain't as easy as it looks (at least for me).  I hope to get better, stronger and faster in the near future.  However, if you find a long wait between blogs, first I would like to thank you for waiting at all and it fills me with pride that you anticipate each installment, and second just know that the longer the wait, the more time and thought I've put into it and hopefully the better it will be.

I HOPE I'm funny. There's a difference.

That's not a question.

Indeed. I have had the pleasure of meeting Richard Anderson twice and Lindsay Wagner and Jennifer Darling once each. Take a gander at these (click to enlargenate):

Incidentally, the date on the photo of me and Richard Anderson is my birthday.  Met him (the first time) the day I turned 38. Happy Birthday to me.

Bionic, of course (thanks for asking, Mom).

Well, I can't speak for you, but my wife is making sandwiches from leftover meatloaf as I type this.

I will be answering that question in my blog posts.  If I just list it all out right here, you won't need to read my blog for the answers.  However, I do have a particular soft spot for "Burning Bright" as it was the first episode I ever saw as a kid.  And I still remember the excitement when the third season started and I first saw the title card "The Return of the Bionic Woman," so you can make a good guess at how I'll rate those two episodes.

Once again, that would be telling. There will be episodes I don't like, especially in his fifth season and her third. Although I have no plans to pull my punches when I don't care for an episode, I love the shows and all criticism is done with tongue in cheek and love in my heart (except for "The Rescue of Athena One," I hate that episode).

For cryin' out loud. I'm done here.

P.S. The two trains close at a speed of 100+150 mph=250mph. At 250mi/h they will meet after 600mi/250mi/h 2.4 h. At a speed of 150mi/h the train leaving New York will cover (2.4h)(150mi/h)=360mi and the train leaving Chicago will cover 240mi.
